Hostel Rules


The Hostel is the home of the student on the campus, and each student is expected to behave in such a manner as to bring credit to him/her as well as the School. Ragging of any kind is severely punishable and students are advised not to indulge in any such activity. The student should ensure that there is no misbehavior on campus in general and during gatherings/ functions in particular. Students violating the code of conduct are liable to be suspended and/or expelled as per the management’s decision. Any issue arising in the hostel needs to be reported to /discussed with the Hostel Director immediately.


A Student must use only the space as allotted in the respective dormitory. Each student is to be responsible for his/her belongings. Valuables and Money should not be brought and stored in the Hostel. Hostel administration will not be responsible for any loss/damage to student’s belongings. Any damage to Hostel property will have to be compensated by the student responsible for the same. Each student is expected to be dressed appropriately at all times. All students are expected to keep their surroundings neat and clean. Expenses on tours, conveyance, etc will be charged as extra when needed. All students should come to hostel one day before re-opening date. Absence of one day is considered a serious breach of discipline, for which a fine of Rs. 5/- per day is levied. Visit to the Hostel can be made on prescribe days and time with due permission of the Director. Permission of Hostel warden is must for entrance into the hostel. Parents/guardians can visit their ward only on first and last Sundays of the month between 10 am to 2 pm.


Mess times are to be followed as per the Hostel schedule. Special food can be arranged on Director’s approval for a student who is unwell. Wastage of food must be avoided at all times.

Daily Routine

The student is expected to follow the daily routine as laid down by the Director. Each student is expected to complete his/her work during the allotted study time without causing disturbance to anyone else.

Medical Support

Students who are unwell are to avail of the treatment offered by the School Pediatrician. In case of Medical emergencies, the Director will decide on hospitalization if required. The Director will keep parents informed about such situations at all times. Expenses for any medical treatment will need to be reimbursed by the Parent. In case of communicable/contagious diseases, Parent/Guardian will need to take the student back home, if advised so by the Director.


Each student is to provide a single Emergency mobile number and an Email id for all hostel and school communication. SMSes and Emails will be sent ONLY to these contact details. Phone calls will be available only to Full Boarders once in week. Mobiles and any other communication gadgets are disallowed on the Hostel premises.

Hostel Check In/Out and Visitors

A Hostel Student can leave the premises at school/at functions only with a permission Slip signed by the Director. Full Boarders will be allowed to leave the Hostel on weekends and to check in latest by 6:00 pm. Parents / Guardians / Visitors are not allowed during school hours. Visiting time on Weekends is between 9.00am and 5.30 pm and between 5 and 6 on week days.

The students will be admitted to the Gurukul subject to available of seats. Admission will be granted after completion of all documents. Local students are not admitted to the Hostel. The Hostel admission once granted is only for that academic year. It can be extended subject to satisfactory discipline and academic performance. Every student seeking admission to the Hostel is required to have a local guardian in Sangli. Any change in local guardian must be informed to the Hostel authorities immediately. All payments should be made either in cash or by a Bank draft in the name of

Extra coaching in Academics

No coaching is allowed outside the School premises except in reputed coaching institutes. Tutors can be arranged by students / Hostel Warden for extra coaching, if required. All payments to tutors will be shared by the students undergoing the coaching.

Widrawal Policy

The management has the right to remove the hostellers at any time for the gross of misbehavior If parents/guardians want to withdraw their wards they are requested to inform the Director Gurukul in writing one month before the intended withdrawn or in lieu of which the caution deposit will not be refunded. If the ward is withdrawn within the 15 days of the commencement of the month, full fee will be charged.
